How I change people’s lives.

Early on when I was a teenager, I discovered my lifetime passion for Positive Neuroplasticity. Studying and practicing in this domain ever since, I have spent the past 30 years working in therapy, management, coaching and training in a dozen countries across industries and managed teams of up to 300 people. I am also a war vet who dealt with his ‘demons’, which triggered my life’s mission: helping others achieve happiness.

My proprietary methods are aligned with my clients’ interests and we usually achieve life-changing results within weeks.

POSITIVE NEUROPLASTICITY POWER
Because you get to understand how the mind works, it empowers you to durably succeed in your transformational process.

How does Positive Neuroplasticity Coaching Works?

Our brain origins – developed while surviving predators left us with a crippling Negative Bias which can literally bring us down with daily habits of self criticism, fear-based reactions and pessimism.

The Positive Neuroplasticity model I work with was developed and taught by Dr. Rick Hanson. Based on research and practice over many years, Rick coded a simple and effective methodology which counters the impact of our natural evolution-driven cognitive bias to imprint and enforce negative impressions and experiences.

To complement this methodology, my coaching method draws upon rich sources including philosophy, anthropology, history, brain research, Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity and Buddhism.

These powerful coaching methods have been tested with private clients, teams, and through classes and courses.

Testimonials

Michael has been my coach for almost 3 years, of which, some has been structured coaching and some has been flexible guidance dependent on my needs. His program focuses on an inside out approach, beginning with deeply inquiring into ourselves and then patiently progressing into actionable change… So far, the positive changes that have resulted from Michael’s coaching for me are beyond just some significant leaps I have taken in my career and personal life, but the most important change, perhaps the real important change, is the courage his coaching awakened in me and the deep sense of self alignment he has helped me develop, and it changed my entire approach to life.

“Michael is humble yet enlightened with a kind heart, an open mind and a compassionate soul. His knowledge and experience in the mind body awareness space is not only in-depth but it is contagious. He had helped to set me on my own personal journey of transformation and awareness to which I am eternally grateful. Michael’s patience and guiding style inspired me to discover my inner strength and fortitude. I strongly recommend him for any organization that seeks to transform its culture and strives to cultivate not only effective managers but enlightened leaders.”
~ Kim Roberts, USA
“Michael is one of the most inspiring people I’ve met. He is dedicated to helping humanity on all levels –from creating a community center for seekers to courageously doing grunt work in the trenches, literally, all in a part of the world forgotten by most in the time of need. I’m not sure which shines more, his heart or his smile.”

Michael Bartura was the group coach for an Asian Leadership Institute online leadership coaching program that I joined in 2014. Michael worked very skilfully with our small but diverse group of executives and guided us through the sessions. I was impressed by his ability to probe deeper and offer alternative or supporting suggestions. Michael is a skilled and experienced coach and I am happy to say he helped us to connect as a group, encouraged us to meaningfully practice, and supported us in making some of the changes and adjustments that we identified.

Michael was my team up coach and personal coach for over the course of about 2 years. I always left the Skype meetings with a feeling of gratitude and a better understanding of how my thinking processes were keeping me stuck with fear, resentment, worry and issues with control and perfectionism which were reinforced by continual approval seeking and had a underbelly of insecurity.
Some of my daily practice is in acceptance as in “it is what it is”, and “people are who they are”.
I now realize I was constantly swimming against the current trying to control my environment in ways that led to excessive anxiety and obsessive worry which kept my limbic system in a constant flight or fight pattern.
Upon reflection, I now know that these negative patterns can change through the neuroplasticity of the brain. ( which means the brain can change itself through repetition of positive thoughts and feelings and behaviors.
It is a continual work in progress but very worthwhile.
Michael was very positive and introspective along with guiding me through tough times. He has had a very positive influence on my life.
For that I am very grateful.

“I was privileged to be able to attend the New Year New You retreat with Michael Bartura from Happiness Habits, at the Gawler Foundation in January 2021. It is obvious from the way Michael approaches his craft that he is knowledgeable and passionate about what he offers. Michael was dedicated to the participants in the group, ensuring we got the most out of the weekend. I walked away better for the experience, and grateful to be armed with some great goal setting tools to use going forward. I plan to do this retreat again around the same time next year, and if there were other suitable retreats offered by Michael before then, would be happy to consider it.”
